About VFE

The person behind VFE

I’m Dinar Ishmukhametov, the creator of Vector Fitness Exercises. I make the exercise animations, maintain the library, and answer customer questions myself.

Why I started

I started VFE to make high-quality exercise animations accessible to fitness products of any size. Building a consistent library from scratch takes years of work. I wanted developers and designers to have a starting point they could adapt to their own product.

VFE is an independent, one-person project. My goal is to help teams spend more time building their apps, websites, and wearables, with less time spent producing the exercise visuals behind them.

Making movement clear

An exercise name isn’t always enough to picture the movement. A clear animation gives people a quick way to see what it looks like, right where they need it in a workout.

I chose Lottie for its compact vector files, scalable graphics, and flexible color customization. The idea is to make exercise previews fit naturally into an interface, with colors that feel like part of the product.

Video still has its place, especially for detailed coaching. I focus on the moments when a simple, clear view of the movement is useful.

A library I keep improving

As I’ve created more exercises, I’ve also returned to earlier ones to improve their movement, timing, and visual consistency. Maintaining the library matters as much to me as adding to it.

I build and refine the browsing and customization tools too. With a large collection, finding the right exercise and seeing how it fits your design should be straightforward.

You can talk to me directly

If something needs explaining, or you have a suggestion for the library, I’d be glad to hear from you. Your message reaches the person making and maintaining VFE.
